There are a couple of relatively unmaintained and steep paths leading from the parking area down to the creek at the bottom but I prefer scrambling directly up and down some rock chutes between those trails. The view from the top of the canyon as the climb descends is breathtaking. Trees cling to the cliffs and steep walls where they can find enough support for their roots. The rushing water of the creek below can be heard cascading through the narrow, twisting valley. Highlights and reflections of the flowing water are casted on the rocks along the water. It's a place that is right on the doorstep of the front range of Colorado but feels like another world. A truly magical and serene escape.
