As individual digital assets I then took a few leaves to create an animated stock video of leaves fall and blowing around. Using an array of particle systems in 3D Studio Max I rendered the leaves using VRAY.
Here are a few quick renders using 3D Studio Max and VRAY as well as a couple screen shots of the mesh and a link to download the 3d model for FREE as an OBJ.
This model is for non-commercial use only. If you would like to use this model commercially please contact me to discuss a commercial license.
One of the great traits of this area of the Indian Peaks Wilderness is that it is absolutely loaded with wood and bark textures. Dead trees, still standing, almost appear to have driftwood-like quality. Many of lost their bark only to have their beautiful light colored wood exposed to and at the mercy of the elements.
One of my favorite locations in the Boulder area for rock textures is a semi hidden ravine called Dream Canyon. While fairly well known to local climbers it tends to be off the beaten path for most hikers and ends up feeling pretty isolated as a hiker and explorer.
The results of the texture hunt consists of 13 new free textures which include 8 stone, 3 water surface, 1 beach pebble and 1 wood texture all perfect for use with your websites, 2d designs, 3d rendering, video game environments, minecraft texture packs and more! All available to download for FREE!
